Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AutoExplore autonomous software testing

General

What is AutoExplore?

AutoExplore is an autonomous software testing solution that explores web applications like a user—clicking, typing, and exercising functionality—to discover bugs and regressions without pre-written test scripts.

Who benefits the most from AutoExplore?

AutoExplore is ideal for companies that want to scale and improve their testing efforts—especially teams with frequently changing web interfaces or many release cycles.

Will AutoExplore replace manual testing?

No. AutoExplore complements manual testing and traditional test automation. It frees human testers from repetitive tasks and uncovers issues that scripted tests may miss. The best results come from combining human expertise with autonomous testing.

Technology & How It Works

How does AutoExplore work in practice?

An AutoExplore agent launches a browser, analyzes UI elements (buttons, links, forms, etc.), and intelligently navigates the application to exercise different user flows. It reports application errors, security vulnerabilities, browser audits, and performance issues it encounters.

Does AutoExplore require test scripts or manual instructions?

No. Agents are autonomous: they infer the UI structure and make decisions based on what they observe on screen.

Can AutoExplore integrate with other tools?

AutoExplore Rest API for commanding Agent and MCP server for issue inspection is planned to be implemented after public launch.

What environments and technologies are supported?

AutoExplore primarily supports web applications and browser-based UIs. AutoExplore is not coupled with any specific JS or Web technology.

Onboarding & Pilot

How quickly can we get started?

Onboarding is fast. Most customers can start a pilot within a few days once a test environment and necessary access are available.

What does a pilot look like?

A pilot typically runs for 2 months. During this period AutoExplore analyzes the target application, detects issues, and produces reports to evaluate coverage, value, and fit.

What do customers need to do?

Customers need to prepare accessible test environment and credentials for the Agent use. Configure boundaries for the Agent and finally follow the test results and act on issues.

Results & Reporting

What do test reports include?

Reports include steps to reproduce the issue, detailed description of what happened, and informative help texts about the issue.

Security & Data Privacy

Is AutoExplore safe to use?

Yes. Tests run in controlled environments; data is handled securely. Customers create boundaries for the Agent to restrict what is being tested.

Where is AutoExplore data stored?

AutoExplore uses Microsoft Azure infrastructure, and data is stored in EU datacenters.

Will AutoExplore access production data?

Not unless explicitly allowed. We strongly recommend testing in dedicated test or staging environments that do not contain real personal data.

Does AutoExplore comply with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR)?

Yes. AutoExplore follows applicable data protection regulations and customer security policies.

Pricing & Licensing

How is AutoExplore priced?

Pricing is typically based on the number of active agents (autonomous test robots) and the scale of testing. Customers pay for the capacity they use.

Is there a trial or pilot available?

Yes. We offer pilot engagements so customers can evaluate AutoExplore before committing to a long-term agreement.

What happens after the pilot?

Pilot results guide the decision on full adoption and scaling.

Support & Roadmap

What support does AutoExplore provide?

During pilots and onboarding you receive hands-on support from our team. After onboarding we provide ongoing support, updates, and maintenance.

How will AutoExplore evolve?

Our roadmap focuses on improving agent intelligence, expanding technology support, and enhancing integrations so agents make smarter decisions and cover more complex scenarios.
